Think Win/Win – (Phil 1:21-22)
How can we win against this virus?
Physically it seems very difficult. However, if we look at it from a spiritual
point of view, from the eyes of an eternal being. The virus might harm us
physically, but it cannot touch our spirit, so the enemy cannot defeat us!
Apostle Paul faced the same situation and
described his win/win scenario in Phil 1:21-22:
For
to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in
the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot
tell.
Apostle Paul was most likely in prison in
Rome at this time, but he was not done yet. He wrote letters to Timothy and Titus
and encouraged them all. He most likely made a trip to Spain, and he fought the
good fight to the end. The bible would not be complete if Paul did not choose
to go on.
Like Paul we cannot lose, we are in a
win/win situation.
There are 5 dimensions to be in a win/win
scenario
i.
Character
of God in us that is built on integrity, maturity, and abundance mentality
ii.
Relationships
that are built on trust and carry a high emotional bank account
iii.
Agreements
– built on success and results in partnership
iv.
Supportive
systems – your school management, your family, your church
v.
Processes
developed through prayers and wisdom on the way you arrive at a win/ win
solution even in a pandemic
Lets talk about some unhealthy patterns of
leadership.

Lose/win –
Example - The virus is winning, and I am powerless to deal with it. “I need to
work and I rather die from the virus than starving to death”. This is a classic loose/win mindset.
●
Lose/Lose –
Example. I am going to curse this virus and be mad and sullen about it. Life is
not fair. I am trapped here and cannot go anywhere or do anything.
●
Win/lose –
very selfish person, they will steal, cheat, or just eat all the available food
and not think of anyone else but themselves.
Crisis brings out the best and the worst in
people, That is a fact. However people in crisis are drawn to the people of
light!. Faith over fear wins again. Phil
1:21-22

Application
5) What
areas in my life am I struggling with to create a win / win scenario? Pray to
Jesus to give you inspiration, problem solve with your trusted brother/sisters
in Christ. Then create a personal win/win motto.
